  • Pastor

    Tem Mattox


     

    Pastor Tem and his wife Karen moved to Bakersfield to start a church on west side of town. The first public service was Palm Sunday 1996. Tem had a vision to reach those outside the church and most of the first attenders were not going anywhere. He enjoys learning, leading and skiing as often as the snow is good! Tem and Karen have three sons and a daughter in law.


    His education includes: BA California Baptist University, MDiv Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary Ft. Worth, TX and 1 year CPE Baylor University Medical Center Dallas, TX.


    Ministry experience includes: Youth Minister, Hospital Chaplain, Navy Chaplain, Associate Pastor, Church Planter and Pastor.

  • Associate Pastor

    Ed Rain


     

    Ed was called to ministry in 1993 and has served in pastoral staff ministry for the past 23 years ministering to people of all ages.  


    Pastor Ed came on staff here at Northside community church as the associate pastor in 2004 with a real passion to reach people for Jesus Christ. He develops leadership teams and helps those with addictions (hurts, habits, or hang-ups). He continues to assist those growing in Christ through Christian education for children, youth and adults.

    Ed has been married for 29 years to his wife Cindy and have three married adult daughters. Together they enjoy hiking, fishing and spending much time with all their grandchildren.


    Experience and Education: Youth Pastor, associate Pastor, campus Pastor, Minister of recovery for drug and alcohol addictions.

    Ed has attended the Master’s college and majored in contemporary Christian ministries.  

  • Youth PAstor

    David Bell


    David is our Youth Pastor and has been of staff for 3 years. He has a passion for Christ, the Church, and the youth culture. He loves to care for students and families as they grow in Christ. He enjoys music, skateboarding, and hiking. 


    Experience and Education: David completed an internship with Northside that began in August of 2012. He is currently working towards a BA from Liberty University.
